Biography

Dr. Kempaiah completed a Ph.D. in Human Genetics with the highest distinction, summa cum laude, from the Institute of Human Genetics at the University of Göttingen, Germany, in February 2006. This achievement followed an academic foundation in the biological sciences, beginning with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sericulture (Genetics) from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India, in August 1997.

Building on this, Dr. Kempaiah pursued a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the Department of Biotechnology at the same university, which they completed in January 2000.

He is a part-time consulting scientist at Mayo Clinic, USA. His responsibilities include consulting on drug discovery, Clinical research design, biostatistics, Global health equity program, grant proposal writing, mentoring in research and scholarly activities, designing genomics, transcriptomics, therapeutics and biomarkers discovery assays for infectious, oncology, mental health and kidney disorders. Additionally, continue to oversee parasitology laboratory involved in molecular design and HT-drug screening.
